GOD BLESS MOTHER
Mother, you gave of the best years of your life.
You cared for your children through sickness and strife.
We always knew that mom would be there,
to love us all with gentle care.
It must have been hard being a mother of ten,
to care for each child and their souls to win.
To live an example of love from above,
For we all need assurance of God's perfect love.
Each day you arose from your nice peacefull sleep,
you had endless chores to do and house to keep.
And not to mention all those mouths to feed,
while trying to meet each individual need.
You must have called on the Lord often for endurance,
and from his word you must have gained assurance.
And now as I'm older with children of my own,
I begin to appreciate the love and care you have shown.
And I am thankfull to God for you, my blessed mother,
for all the care you've shown me, my sisters, and brothers.
And now as I pray, I pray you'll be blessed,
with a life full of God's love and happiness.
And that you will continue to share God's love,
as he blesses your life with hope from above.
