Fall, O mighty little leafs, Find your mark For summer is on the run, its fall again Over there ! my heart is on that snowy mountain peak ! I’m filled with joy and the chill of fall to my feet ! As baby fresh air holds my breath My eyes open so ever so wide I see from the blue skies your sunshine yellow O mighty aspen leafs My ears as eyes listen to you as you fall through the gentle pines whispers From your quaking sound on Mother Aspen to playful rustling on the ground Mountain scented air, birds flying, a doe at stream quenching her thirst in total delight A place, a tune, a time, all being held captive by your beauty, O mighty aspen leaves, When Spring comes I’ll be again with you, My aspen leaf friends ! |
